We don’t really do Halloween. In the fall you may see the typical decorations like carved pumpkins on the front porches, but it never really was a tradition in the Netherlands to celebrate “All Hallow’s Eve” on October 31th. Although it’s becoming more popular now over here, Halloween has to combat another holiday that is celebrated around the same time, November 11th: Saint Martin’s Day, or in Dutch: Sint Maarten.
I’ll love you forever,
I’ll like you for always,
As long as I’m living

– Robert Munsch
I read this quote somewhere and it got my attention. What a sweet way to express your love for someone! When I looked it up, it turned out to be a rhyme from a book, “Love You Forever”, written by Robert Munsch.
Okay. Something I learned this summer: doing a Challenge can cause stress. You know – you have to do something, and you feel like you have to share it – and well, life happens.
“To Timothy, my true son in the faith…” 1 Timothy 1:2. From the very first sentences in the letter to Timothy you can sense the deep love apostle Paul had for his younger brother in the faith. Paul himself didn’t have children, but he had a great father’s heart for his followers, his children of faith.
